Every year one Ukrainian woman receives up to 100,000 UAH towards her education, retraining or professional development. This scholarship has been set up to ensure that talented and motivated women do not have to give up on their dreams simply because of a lack of resources.

Why was this scholarship established?

Education has the power to change lives. But for many women, it remains a dream that they are forced to put on hold for years due to financial difficulties, family responsibilities or challenging life circumstances.


The idea for this scholarship stemmed from my own personal story. A long time ago, my mum, despite her limited means, spent her last bit of money so that I could get an education. It was her faith and support that changed my life.

Today, I want to pass this opportunity on — to women for whom an education could mark the start of a new chapter in their professional or personal lives. I believe that when one woman’s life changes, the future of her family, community and society changes too.

This is not just an investment in education.
It is an opportunity to choose your own life strategy.

The Yulia Sporysh Scholarship has no age, professional or other restrictions. Women of any age and with any background may apply.

The main selection criterion is the potential for education to change lives. We support those for whom studying will mark the start of a new professional or personal chapter, open up new opportunities and help them achieve greater financial independence.

  • Competitive selection deadlines

    Applications will be accepted from 21 November to 11 February, and the results of the competition will be announced in March.
